Finca Rienda Suelta lies in a lovely setting surrounded by sloping fields and mountains.
At Finca Rienda Suelta, you can relax at the pool, jumping in the cool water provided by the estate's own well, or sunbathing on the terrace surrounding it. Or you can make a horseback tour over the beautiful terrain of the Finca. Another possibility is taking a short walk to the lake, a lovely place to go for a swim or for renting a canoe.
For the adventurous, many sports can be practiced close to the Finca, such as mountainbiking,
hiking, paragliding and climbing.
Pueblos Blancos
The Finca has a privileged view upon the "Zahara" lake, at the foot of one of the most beautiful pueblos blancos - white villages - of Andalusia: Zahara de la Sierra. The estate is close to several other famous white villages, such as Grazalema, high up in the Natural Park of Grazalema and Setenil, where many of the houses are build in and under the rocks.
About 30 minutes away you can find Ronda, the city that is famous for being build on the cliffs on both sides of a canyon, called "El Tajo", carved out throughout the years by the "Guadalevín" river.  Other cities you shouldn´t forget to visit are Sevilla and Cádiz, both less than an hour and a half drive away, and Granada, which is a little further away, (2.5 hours) but still absolutely worth the drive, because of the magnificent Alhambra and the narrow streets of the old town.

Gastronomy and a taste of authentic Andalusian culture
The southern part of Andalucia not only offers a stunning, unspoiled nature but also is known for it´s gastronomy. For example excellent local cheeses, from goats, sheep and cows. Or the tasty olive oil of the region, which is full of fields of olive trees. Grazalema is known for it´s honey and throughout the whole region you find many restaurants who serve more then excellent food, from local products.
The many villages have a vibrant social live where you meet up with Andalusian families eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Although Andalusia is an attracting place for tourists, the inland villages are not spoiled by the influence of foreigners. You will be surprised of the authentic culture to be found on every street corner throughout the year. The highlight for the locals are the many traditional fiestas and celebrations originated in their rich historical heritage.

Backstreet Jerez de la Frontera
Jerez de la Frontera
For those who love horses, they should definitively go to Jerez de la Frontera, and visit the famous Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre, as well as the
Yeguada de la Cartuja.
Jerez is about one hours drive from Finca Rienda Suelta.
Sevilla Real Alcazar
The beautiful city of Sevilla, one and a half hours drive, is more then worth a visit. The Real Alcazar, Giralda and a stroll in the old Jeweish barrio Santa Cruz are only a few of the many highlights of Sevilla.
Another beautiful city, at half an hours drive, is Ronda. With it´s spectaculair Tajo cliff formed by the river Gualalevín, that divides the little town in two. Besides  historical buildings and musea, Ronda is a great place to do shopping, experiencing a Flamenco show and for dining out.
Cueva de la Pileta.jpeg
La Cueva de la Pileta
The Cueva de la Pileta is a prehistorically cave with 150.000 years of history. It was announced a National Monument in 1924. Access to the cave is regulated to reduce the impact of visitors to the sensible environment of the beautiful paintings. You need a reservation to visit. The cave is open for public all year round.
via verde fiets.jpeg
Via Verde
The Via Verdes - old railway tracks that run all the way from Jaén to Cordoba - have been transformed in beautiful bicycle- and walking lanes. You can rent (electric) bikes at Olvera and Puerto Serrano and make a most beautiful ride throughout the Andalusian landscape.
canoeing on the pantano.jpg
Canoeing on the Lake
On the "pantano" at the foot of Zahara de la Sierra and only a few minutes away from the Finca, there are several places you can rent canoes. I great way to see the stunning environment from a different perspective.
flamenco ronda.jpeg
Whilst in Andalucia, a taste of Flamenco is a must! El Quinqué in Ronda is an unique place with offers a very high standard of Flamenco shows every afternoon and evening. This tablao Flamenco means it also is a restaurant and with the possibility for dining during the shows.
In the mountains and slopes of the nearby Grazalema Natural Park, Pinsapar and the Sierra Montalate you find a wide variety of walks and hikes. From easy two hours walks to challenging all day hikes up and down the hills. I real treat for the adventurous.
Algodonales, at a 15 minutes drive of the Finca, is a real paragliding heaven. With many schools that offer trips for all levels of paragliding in the surrounding mountains, throughout the year.

"In 2017 we received a stunning 9.4 average from bookings through which makes us very proud."
